A Russian drone struck a warehouse in the village of Myla, west of Kyiv, on 28 August, setting off ammunition detonations that killed dozens of people and damaged a nearby care home. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the Defence Forces depot should not have been next to homes and opened a criminal negligence case. Russia said it hit stores of long-range drone boosters. Kyiv compared the blast to a July munitions fire in Vyshneve.
