Sen. Mitch McConnell returned to the U.S. Capitol on Monday after about three months away following a June 14 fall at his Washington home. The 84-year-old former Senate Republican leader, who last voted June 11, arrived in a wheelchair, spoke briefly to reporters, and voted on a judicial nomination. He said recovery has been frustrating, childhood polio still affects him, and he is not quite back to 100%, but he assured Majority Leader John Thune he will try to be present for tough votes, including farm-bill work.
