State police said 12 people were arrested Sept. 18 in the shooting that killed Deputy Terrian Bailey outside a Hermanville convenience store.
Claiborne County Deputy Terrian Bailey, 45, was shot early Sept. 7 while deputies tried to disperse a crowd at a convenience store in Hermanville. He died at a hospital. On Sept. 18 the Mississippi Department of Public Safety said 12 people had been arrested and charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and conspiracy. Outlets differ on whether one named suspect was still at large, and on whether Bailey had four children or five.
