A 55-year-old rider died overnight near Eddy Road. Bratenahl police say a 31-year-old Cleveland driver left the scene and was later arrested; charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, leaving the scene, and OVI are pending.
Bratenahl police say a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle crashed on I-90 east near Eddy Road about 1:13 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026. The rider, a 55-year-old man, died at the scene. Fox 8, Cleveland 19, and cleveland.com said he was from South Euclid; News 5 said Euclid. Police say the other driver, a 31-year-old Cleveland man Fox 8 named as Leon Croff Jr., fled, was found a short time later, and is in custody. Anticipated charges in Cleveland Municipal Court include aggravated vehicular homicide, stopping after an accident, and OVI. Fox 8 put the time at around 1:15 a.m.
